New Years Eve Party

So to New Years Eve.

Again like last year we thought we'd stay at the condo. Last year was such a laugh with the girls, JT, Gordon etc we decided all good to stay and have fun here.

It works so well as it is a 2 minute walk, it finished at 1am after fireworks, music all night, amazing food, a magician, prize draw raffle, great company and of course did I forget to mention free flow frothy stuff - BRING IT ON!!!!

Here we are at the start of the evening. We just arrived.

Here below is me and the gang with two of our guests, Gena and Nerrie. Don't they all look gorgeous. A very honoured UK guy to be sat on a table with such beauty in abundance, ha ha!

Out comes the food. There was tonnes of it. One very surprising one for me was Russian Salad. Never have had that before. Absolutely delicious. Curries, vegetables with ginger and garlic, deep fired fish, fried rice and it goes on and on.

Oooh did I mention it was also free flow beer??

Up on stage then for some of the interactive sessions. Basically audience participation.

Me sat to the left of hopefully a new found freind Terry who has moved to the condo a couple of weeks ago. Top bloke and his boy you'll see more of later got on really well with Ollie and Amy. Great to meet you Terry.

Boy did they pick the right person for this competition.

Yep it was a drinking game.

So on goes a babies bib. Your "partner" standing behind you has to hold a baby bottle full of beer and then feed you. He who finishes first is the winner, and prizes are handed out.

So who do you think won?

Come on come on, we're talking beer and drinking. Yes yours truly won by a mile and got a very nice business card holder case as a prize. And when I say by a mile, I mean it. Terry and uncle were so so far behind. Ha Ha!

Up next Gena and Ollie doing a win it in 60 seconds type game section.

They had a plastic bottle with a long long string of beads in it. They had to get these out and then put them back. In competition with two other couples. Oh Dear, guess who came in 3rd of 3?? Yeap Gena and Ollie. Better luck next time guys. Still was very funny as they destroyed the bottle.

Resting to get her 2nd wind is Amy sat underneath the table.

It's going to be a long night so let's leave her quiet for a bit.

Don't worry she got her 2nd wind in a BIG way later on!

Read on.

Whoops Ollie and Gena STILL trying to get the beads back in the bottle. Did I mention they came third ha ha!

Also did I mention it's free flow beer at the party? Ha Ha!

Next up is Mary and Marife.

This one was picking up individually 100 coins and placing them in the basket in less than six seconds. The girls did very well and did indeed and easily beat the 60 seconds limit so got prized up.

Terry and I also got pulled out again and had to move something like 50 ping pong balls from one basket to another using only chopsticks. Tough one, but Terry and I blitzed it in 42 seconds beating teams of Asians. Ha Ha. Ni's Nan always said my chopstick skills were better than Nina's - well even under the tough regime of competition they kicked in. Ha Ha!

Next comes Jack the magician.

This guy was real good. Ollie out first to have a load of coins pulled from various parts of his body to be dropped in a bucket. Some of the coins you clearly did not was to be collecting back, ha ha!

A VERY attentive crowd in the front row.

Yes the kids loved the show.

The trick below was awesome. He basically had a paper rose that he had floating in mid-air. The he set fire to it as below and there was a real rose. Amazing. And to see the trick literally a few feet away really made it even more impressive.

A quick spin round to take a lovely shot of the girls.

Very nice ladies.

Jack then does a spin on sword swallowing.

Yes he's using a balloon. And believe me he swallowed the entire thing. Very clever.

He also had yours truly come out to have a bottle passed through me. I spotted how he did this one. But again having this done inches from you is seriously impressive. Great show, great bloke. Very entertaining.

UP go my two again.

This time battle of the bands.

But Amy bowed out just as they were kicking off. Shame. Ollie stayed though and they all got dressed up and had to "air" play instruments. Kids v Adults, and kids ultimately the winners. Well done Ollie.

Not exactly Phil Collins in the back there on the drums? But still stylish isn't he.

F, F, F, F, F, F, F - FACEBOOK!!!!!

Yes even Mary herself asked for this Facebook Photo. Ha Ha!

Jack hung around and made Amy a rose balloon for her wrist. He promised during his show she'd get a flower of her own.

Did I mention it was free flow beer, ha ha. In fact we'd brought wine for the girls.

I think these may start kicking in right about now.

Yes right about now

Saturday night fever eat your heart out - Filipino girls make John Travolta look like an amateur on Come Dancing.

Here's Terry's boy, Kyle, with the kids and Mary. Terry's wife had gone with the young one already so we invited him over to our table. We had a great chat and Kyle bonded with the kids and got right in to the groove too. Lovely kid!

Here they all are dancing away. Little bits of Gangnam and beyond. Looks like they've been best mates for ever doesn't it.

Yes more and more Gangnam.

My two do a great double act for that one - such a shame I can't seem to get videos uploaded to Blog. Anyone out there if you can help me with that I can start to share "live" footage again. Weird!

Great mates! Lovely photo.

OK did I mention it was free flow beer?

Out come the masks, nearly time for the 10 second count down. Smiles all round.

Ooops it's catching.

Like 3 Filipino Zorro's, minus the sword, hat, black cape, leather boots and horse of course - but you get the idea right?

More dancing.

Even yours truly now up and at em in Gangnam style. Never too old hey!

Mind you maybe the eyes are giving it away that there was actually free flow beer at the party. Cough Cough!

Another couple of the beautiful girls I had the good fortune of enjoying New Year's Eve with.

Shame though Marefina had to leave early as Gena forgot the spare key to her condo. Yep she had to get back whilst her employers were still awake. Such a shame!

Now they're turning on the dry ice machine. Smoke everywhere.

Making it very hard to photograph as you couldn't get focus. Still the occasional beauty gets taken.

Who is that masked mermaid????

Now then has Nerrie had a few wines by now?

I shall leave that to you all to decide. What's she's pointing at who knows??

Yours truly now gets asked to hold one of the giant poppers. Count down is upon us. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 ....

It happened. It's 2013. We even had air horns to make as much noise as is humanely possible. Can't believe I was giving my kids something to make them even more noisy ha ha! Great fun though, as you can tell from the faces. They REALLY liked these.

Group hug and happy new year.

Here's Amy and Nerrie collecting glittery paper from the poppers. Mind you we're all completely covered in the stuff anyway so why she needed to get on the floor.

The final few photos from the party with free flow. This is about 0100am on New Years Day now. Kids to be gotten to bed.

But Gena is sleeping over and Nerrie lives in same condo so we all went back to chez Kennett to a nightcap. SO below is literally on arrival at chez Kennett. 5 minutes later and Ollie is off to bed, Amy already down.

The this happens, ha ha! The drink, and early hour finally takes control of us all. Blurry faces, and not caused by the camera. This continues to the right royal time of 0300am. Nerrie got up at 1300 next day she was so tired. Mary, Gena, the kids and I - well we had a New Year Day party to go to. Never stops does it, ha ha!

I am not quite sure, but they do say the eyes are a give away.

Ha Ha - Gena you are rumbled!

Nerrie getting VERY friendly with Gena.

Perhaps this is some form of Filipino custom on New Years Day celebrations? The French kiss both cheeks, perhaps in Philippines you kiss both ...........

Yep all control is gone now. Here's the girls now dancing on the balcony. Mary and I are just sat watching this, like a private show. Thanks girls. VERY impressive.

And the final two pics at 0300am - again the eye's have it.

Ha Ha!

Gena, Nerrie and Marefina thank you so much - you made it such a great night for Mary, me and the kids. It was so so lovely to have you come and join this with us. Just wonderful. Love you all.
