Amy's 6th birthday party - oh my goodness...

The party of all parties?
Potentially this was.
Our first biggie at our new place.

So what to do???

It kind of goes like this:
  • Magician
  • Party Games
  • Glitter Tattoos
  • Piñata
  • Swimming Pool
  • Food Food and more Food
  • Clearly a few refreshing beverages that went on to about midnight
What a success.

Firstly though let me just say thank you to all the children that came, thank you to all their parents, thank you for all the amazing gifts, and of course thank you for the fun. The Kennett family had a wonderful afternoon and evening. Thank you all.

But of course to the main lady of the day - thank you to Amy. We love you massively. 6 years old now, six years of wonderful, funny times - we love you babe - happy birthday.

The day begins. Get some food in Amy it's going to be BUSY!!!

Presents in the post already. From all over the world too. You lucky thing!

OMG how old are you?
You look beautiful.

Sis - she seriously loves this dress, and looks just amazing in it.

Whoops and this of course - the outfit.

It goes on and on - such a lucky girl.

Quick quick - some balance, some variety.
Cute baby Jude loving the camera flash.

How cute is this boy - dear me. Heart breaker.

Oooooh - just want to kiss him.
Very cute baby Jude.

The kids arrive, the magic starts.
About another 10 kids came along as well, a little late, but that's all good.

Have to say this guy was good.
He kept this lot 100% attentive, laughing, loving every minute.

Out comes the birthday girl.
121 magic - with coins coming out from every part of her body, including - yes - her bum.
Very funny.

Party games now.
Musical statues here I think.

My Ollie did me a massive favour. He and his mates, Dev, Brendan, Anooshka controlled the piñata session.
So glitter tattoos adorned, we tied up the the piñata.

I was cooking so asked Ollie to help, and he did a great job controlling 30 kids.

Amy has a go - smack, smack, smack.

Boom it opens and out come the sweets - mayhem kicks in.
Like kid soup.

I think she did well with her sweet grab.

Out comes the masterpiece.
No not me the cake.

Check this thing out - a mermaid sitting on a rock.
WOW!!!

Seriously a work of art.
Again no, not me the cake!!!

Here we go - it's nearly song time.
Candle lighting and we're off.

Sing sing sing.
Both in English and Mandarin.
What a lucky girl.

Happy Birthday Amy-Boo.

One more massive thank you.
To my Mary.
What a team babe - we did well.
Great success and great fun, and a very very happy 6 year old.

Baby Jude's 1st swimming pool experience...

What to do - what to do?

A very long weekend for me and the family with 4 days in total - Labout Day Thursday, so took off Friday and hey presto 4 lovely days off.

Sunday arrived and off we jolly well went to Adventure Cove on Sentosa with my gang and our mate Maricel, her son, aunty and cousin. What fun we had. Plus a first for us and a someone - read on.

My two had an absolute blast as usual. Amy, now much taller, was able to do all the rides. We really did have fun - lazy rivers, water playgrounds, slides, rides, dolphins, fish - you name it, we did it all.

I think they look happy.

To the first...

Yep Baby Jude joined me in the water.
I got him a blow up ring and a swim suit - literally a suit - and a baseball cap.

Did he enjoy his trip around the lazy river???

He absolutely loved it.
He had such fun.
He chilled, he giggled, he looked around, he tried to drink the water, he sucked his rubber ring, he loved it. He even looked up for the camera when Mary called his name.

Well done Baby Jude - your first and certainly not last time.

Nest stop swimming pool matey.

Our first BBQ

What to do?
It is Labour Day and therefore a public holiday in Singapore.

What to do?

How about we have a few people over to pool party and BBQ?
That sounds like a grand plan Brian.

So Adrian and Kondia, the Rutherford's, Mr Clark, JT and some Anakis family all came over. So off yours truly went earlier in the day to get food and ice, and beers and wine. We had pork in lettuce leaves, fish in coconut cream, grilled whole fish, prawns with plum sauce, pork belly with Chili sauce, smoked ham cooked in soy sauce - all rather scrummy it has to be said, but not a photo taken. In fact the pit was booked so I had to make do with cooking upstairs and transferring downstairs.

So above is all you are going to get re the food. But now to some very nice snaps from the day.

None of me, Mary or Ollie. Ollie was at his mates, I was snapping the photos and Mary went to bed with Jude in the early evening. So just our visitors, friends and family.

JB gets a cuddle from Jude.

Not sure but I think Jude looks a little surprised. Just a little ha ha!!!

Amy clearly has put too much deodorant on or she thinks she is at school.
Over the playground we went, a lovely lazy day.

Still got that arm up Amy...

"Miss, Miss I wanna pee..."

Maricel's boy is over from Philippines at the moment. He's a cracking lad, always smiling!!!

Baby Jude in his throne - yes he does indeed act, and gets treated like a King!!!

Eddie.

Get it???

Eddie Lizard, Eddie Izzard - hmmm, just forget it...

Off to shops.

That's a better picture Baby Jude - very cute matey!

Kondia and Ade - all the way from UK and Hong Kong to be our first BBQ visitors. Thanks giuy.

JT straight from work.

Sophia and her mates came over too, the offer of free food and drink was clearly a major pull.

Mr Rutherford copying Baby Jude.

Amy Boo and her best mate Sophia - very nice photo girls.
They played and played and played.

Steve goes for a kiss from Frayer, but I think he shouldn't try that whilst she is sat on the loo.
He He!!!

What an absolutely stonking day.
Boiling hot.
Pool was like a tepid bath.
Food turned out really nice.
Great friends.
Great fun.
Oh and some very cold refreshing beverages.
Top that...
