New Years Day

Off to Cluney Park we go to celebrate New Year's Day with the girls.

Outdoor activities or sports was the theme of the day, so notice they're all in joggers and trainers.

So of course with that theme the first game for the day is to take a load of elastic bands, knot them together, and stretch out to make a "net" that the girls all then run, jump and spin in mid air before getting tangled in it.

You getting this? You understand?
And this is before anyone has had a drink yet.
WTF?
Elastic band jumping - hardly an Olympic sport yet!
But I have to say it was good fun to watch, and the kids really went for it too.

Look at Ollie go.
Great shot of a mid air acrobatic show off.

And yes he did get his feet tangled elastic bands, and nearly fell over - so I have to assume he scored highly for this one.

No tangles not points??

Now its Amy's turn. Looking good honey, looking good. Even the girls think so. Or we're back to the wrong under arm deodorant again.

Go Ollie - he's loving this isn't he!

OK now my idea to throw a football as he is in mid-flight.

This is now because he is a seasoned pro and knotted elastic band tangle sport. Let's up the anti.

Now it is catch the football mid-flight knotted elastic band tangle sport. Clearly not a tea game. But Ollie has taken it to new heights now it seems.

Even Amy is limbering up and looking good to getting on the National team when she's a few years older. Great technique Amy, just beautiful.

Then to the pro.

Philippines Ladies Team Captain of tangle knotted elastic band sport - Lennie. Nice form Lennie you can really see the professional difference. 10 points all round, ha ha!

Down the field to play some volley ball.

How versatile is knotted elastic band thing. Yep it now made a volley ball net. VERY hot by way, hence yours truly staying under the shade with a cold beverage or two. Clearly in this scenario I am not a mad dog or Englishman as there is no way I'm going out in this midday sun!

Marefina also had her birthday.

Handbags handed out as a present for her. Very very nice!

Happy Birthday.

Out come the bloody elastic bands again. ahahahahah. Now the kids are inventing a new game by placing them around their waste. Like they're tied to each other. Where's thins one going to go??

Ahhh happy new year kids, let's hope 2013 is going to be good for us.

A few challenges for us already, but we're working through those and keeping EVERYTHING crossed that it turns out OK and in our favour.

Now Ollie steps in as compare.

First up though he's desperate to show off his and Amy's Gangnam Style dance. They really are very very good now. Almost completely in synch.

The back to be a host and compere.

He gets all the girls playing "Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman" game. Great fun.

A couple of beautiful group shots of us all.

It really is one big happy family, and I am so very happy and honoured to be part of that and their lives. Thank you all for welcoming me and my kids.

Marefina has just come back from Xmas in Australia with her employers. Whilst there she bought all the girls an identical ring. See again back to the friendship being so strong. So they now all have an identical ring to remind them of each other. Ooooh very cute!

Ha Ha - Oliver comes back to "run the show" and has a Gangnam Style dance off. Absolutely hysterical it really was. Maricel was the best and outright winner. So so funny.

Do you think she was happy she won??

And just to show off - the kids have another go in front of the girls as their audience.

Synchronised Gangnam Style.

Now that is an Olympic Sport to consider! Imagine the ratings!

Girls again as always thanks so very much for a lovely day.
We had a blast. Much love Bri, Mary, Amy and Ollie
