Day #2 in Bintan - here's Monday

Day #2 in Bintan - here's Monday

Another absolutely fabulous day in Bintan - more food to come of course on the food blog, so this is just the shots of family fun. A lovely lazy swimming pool day. How nice was that.

Now in pictures = painting a thousand words and all that;

The gang poolside playing nicely...

Yes I was there too - no beautiful beaches between the feet with no one around for me, not with three kids to entertain ha ha!

Amy asked me to take an action shot of her jumping from the water - job done Amy - very impressive...

And then after much much pressure I agree to take her on the trampoline thing  - Baby Jude is having a rest so on we go. We set a big challenge to her - double back-flip please Amy - and here is her executing against that challenge

Good work Amy-Boo
Just a stunner of my gorgeous girl!!!

Off to dinner on the floating sea food restaurant - now that is a sunset and half is it not. Just stunning.

And another stunner - he he...

Looking back at Singapore - twinkly little lights far off in distance - another stunning view

We even managed to sneak in a few drinks afterwards at the floating bar, Calypso. He changed the music and stuck in some reggae, nothing better. Lovely cool beers, cool breezes, cool tunes and fun with the family. Nice!!!

I love this one of a little serious Baby-Jude - having a moment son?

Baby-Jude made sure I took a picture of the CRAPS, yep craps - bless him. Ha Ha.

Nearly bed time now - few final minutes with his big brother...
Yes Dad I am super tired now - thanks for a lovely day, I had such fun...

Now that was a TOP Father's Day

How lucky are we sometimes?
I had such a wonderful day today for Father's Day.

Up early.
Handmade cards and presents galore given to me by my wonderful kids.
Oscars Statues for 'Best Dad';
New bracelets for casual Dad, and
A new t-shirt that I wore today for our trip.

Then at about 10am off we go to Tanah Mereh Ferry Terminal and off we scoot to Bintan for the week at Nirwana Resort Hotel - I like, I like a lot.

And what a bloody good first day.
Father's Day meal to come to another food review near you soon.
But here is the afternoon fun.

Wee man in his new floaty jacket - just having fun, fun, fun
My Mary and Jude - did you guys have something a little gassy for breakfast???
What's your name mate - "Can't tell you, it's secret squirrel innit!!!"
Lovely one - my swimmers
Again a beauty of all the gang having fun in the pool, so lovely to see
Jude Jude - trying so so hard to learn to swim bless him - very proud to see the determination, but also of how much fun and how proud of himself he is too. Way to go Baby Jude
Topped off by a beautiful, albeit bloody expensive, Japanese meal to see out an amazing Father's Day - thanks to my gang, love you lots and lots and lots - such fun - Dad xxx

What a lovely East Coast day

A lovely East Coast Day with family & friends

This weekend was boiling - so let's get the scooters out and go for a walk to East Coast Park, and Lagoon for lunch. Met with our mates The Rutherford's, Blowers, Wills and more. What a lovely day it was. Jude on the beach for hours until he got bored and then hiring the BIG bike for the guys to cruise up and down. Some new dishes from our local.

Check out these mushrooms - all over the place. Amazing, almost Hobbit-like.

Believe it or not these are prawns - but the size of lobsters, amazing bloody things. Steamed with garlic and butter, with a squeeze of lime - an OMG moment, and that is from a non-fish lover as you know. Simply amazing!

Simply called Kway. It gets that from the noodles. But the gravy is also and OMG moment in a bowl. This stuff is crazy good.

The gang waited for an hour to get this vehicle. Then sped off for an hour and I didn't even get an invite to have a go. Bah Humbug family!

Family trip to Suntec and Singapore National Alive Museum

Family trip to Suntec and Singapore National Alive Museum

A picture paints a thousands words they say, so realistically I don't need to say anything as there are so many photos that this blog is almost as long as a thesis. Anyways here is the family acting like idiots (literally at certain times) at this picture museum thingy at Suntec.

They had fun. As I think you will see.

Apologies for the captions family - my turn for a bit of fun!!!

King & Queen - and Court is in session...

She should have worn her other tail - much more colourful!!!

I don't know who she is, but I want her number!!!

Speech bubble; "Can I have the iPad Mum?"

"How did I end up in there, with that damn dog, yucks???"

The hand of God?

Looks like she's sitting on my leg!!!

Looks like one of my work team meetings - me and a load of mirrors!!!
"What do you think Brian?"
"I think that's a great idea Brian..."

"Please can I have the iPad???"

The tangled web she weaves.....

Baby Jude seemingly in two minds...

Amy auditioning for X-Factor? I think she might win you know...

Amy this is your Dad speaking - that is the first and last time to be on a pole OK!!!!

When I said to the barman, I only want a half, I think he got the wrong idea!!!

Clearly a fictional photo. One Mary could not lift me, and two those ain't her pink legs!!! Ha Ha!!!

Superman now kicks in carrying the family off to safety, or dinner or something??? Amy first!!!

"Save me too..." says Baby Jude

"When I said I want a crocodile sandwich and make it snappy, I didn't mean this...." Says Amy

Not sure who is more scared - I have decided - over to you...

Wow a humming bird, and look at the blue thing with wings too...

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

"I didn't do it..." says Amy

Premier Grab Humming Bird???

Ollie's a gonna for sure - not sure if the croc is big enough to swallow him whole though...

Baby Jude when you said you wanted some new Crocs, did you really mean this???

I think he truly is a Superman to be able to lift this big lump of the ground!!!
